WHY APPLIED MASSAGE THERAPY IN ONCOLOGY?

The latest statistics show a significant increase in the number of people with cancer: which will more than double within the next 15 years. As a result, all massage therapists are confronted with this reality.

Asking the question demonstrates professional responsibility. This responsibility makes it possible to provide a quality and safe service to those people whose health condition presents specific conditions that require special care.

The experience with massage therapists who have completed the Applied Massage Therapy in Oncology training confirms the interest and openness of hospitals and palliative care homes to work with massage therapists who specialize in oncology.

So to answer this question from the beginning requires time and specific knowledge. The skills required in oncology specialization are not the same as those acquired in the basic massage therapy training program.

Here is some continuous training that we offer in 2 formats:

  • For a private practice in a spa or other: 135 hours of training.
  • For practice in hospitals or palliative care homes: 165 hours of overtime for a total of 300 hours of training.

Programme 145 hours - Start: January 2018 -
